Our Story

CanastaMatch was conceived when my wife and I learned to play Modern American Canasta in 2023.  After taking lessons, we had a difficult time finding other people to play with in our city, or even within a reasonable driving distance. We thought if it was difficult for us, living in a populous city like Scottsdale AZ, then surely other Canasta players encounter the same problem.  

We found that Facebook Canasta groups prove hundreds of people are seeking others to play Canasta with, however, Facebook Groups do not provide a comprehensive solution for people to meet the right people, at the right time and place to play the game.  We decided to address this problem by developing a comprehensive, FREE, Canasta community website serving players of all versions of Canasta called CanastaMatch.

In addition, we are building an online, competitively priced Canasta game exclusively for members of this community called CanastMatch Play. Canasta Players must be members of the community to play with other member on the site. Our mission is to connect and match Canasta players across the U.S. and Canada, both for in-person and online play.  For a full description of all the features of CanastaMatch, check out the Frequently Asked Questions page.
